Kuka Cafe

Shangaan River Club
Based at Hippo Hollow Country Estate in Hazyview, the Shangaan River Club is one of the finest traditional restaurants in Mpumalanga.
The River Club welcomes all local and international guests to the festivities under the thatched boma, where traditional South African and Shangaan cuisine form a feast in the true sense of the word.
This joint venture between Hippo Hollow and the local community provides an enchanting evening blended with history and entertainment under the African night sky.
The Shangaan River Club is named after the local people, the Shangana who are regarded as the earliest inhabitants of the area. The dancers are from the Venda, Tswana, Zulu and Swazi Cultures and are all originally from the Msogwaba (Nelspruit) Community. dancers.
In each performance, the local chief narrates a song or proverb from tribal legends enlightening guests with their ancient and intriguing culture.

Hippo Hollow Restaurant
Hippo Hollow Restaurant occupies centre stage on the lush Hippo Hollow Country Estate. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options and on warm summer evenings, meals can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the Sabie River down below.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served daily from an à la carte menu, which provides new and innovative ways to present local seasonal food at its best. The lunch menu features a selection of salads, light meals, pizzas and grill menu items to tickle your tastebuds as well as a kids menu to keep the little ones happy.
