  • Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

    Enjoy an interaction with the world famous Jessica the hippo. Feed her tea, give her back scratches and hear her inspiring story.

  • The Jane Goodall Institute Chimpanzee Eden

    Chimp Eden is the only chimpanzee sanctuary in South Africa and is home to rescued chimpanzees. There are currently three different chimp groups and enclosures at the South African sanctuary. There are viewpoints overlooking the forest and foraging areas from which visitors and volunteers can observe and study the chimpanzees.

  • Shangaan River Club

    Follow the sound of the beating drums through a path of flaming torches and immerse yourself in a feast of culture, with a night of Shangaan song, dance and an outstanding African Banquet alongside the Sabie River in Hazyview.

  • Nyani Cultural Village

    The history and culture of the African tribes comes to life at Nyani Cultural Village in Hoedspruit. The “Living Cultural Village” is a journey through the stages of life in a Shangaan homestead. Visitors will learn about traditional practices from birth, through childhood up to marriage, after which a delicious lunch will served in the typical African style after the theatre show.
